By listening to our exciting narrative while viewing the numerous sites, our guide will ensure that the Badlands come alive! Discover eras commencing about 150 million years ago . . . find out where dinosaur fossils can be found, learn about First Nations people, explorers and the fur trade, cowboys, pioneers, coal mners and the current oilfield activity.
The Wild West Adventure Tour in the evenings (2 1/2 hours) takes you to a ranch to enjoy a hay wagon ride into a buffalo herd where you can watch bison bulls munch oats right beside the wagon. Visit a Sod House similar to those used by pioneers in the area. Walk down the streets of Rowley (population 6) and visit Sam's Saloon OR the ghost town of Wayne and the Last Chance Saloon. Sightings of antelope, cootes and deer are common . . . be sure to bring your camera!
