Big Valley Historical Society

The Big Valley Historical Society is dedicated to the preservation and display of heritage buildings and artifacts from the village of Big Valley and area.  Stop in for a visit and see the many historic displays and heritage sites. Big Valley is located just off of Highway 56  and Highway 590, one hour east of Red Deer. The Society maintain two Provincial Heritage sites, St. Edmunds Anglican Church and Alberta Wheat Pool Elevator. They also house many antiques and collectibles in the 1930's McAlister Motors building, the Vintage Tool and Collectibles Museum at 39 Railway avenue, as well as outside displays of farm and road-building equipment, and several rail-cars. Please note the displays are only open in the summer months.
