Park Lake Provincial Park
Park Lake Provincial Park is located in southern Alberta, 18-km north of Lethbridge, and surrounds an irrigation reservoir built in 1929 (Park Lake). Here you’ll find a beach area and plenty of water activities (like fishing, boating, and wind surfing), as well as hiking and mountain biking. Birders will enjoy the many bird species who make the lake, and its surrounding wetlands and prairie, home. Keep an eye out for pelican and red-winged blackbirds. UPDATE: Alberta Parks is continually monitoring operations to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Please visit the website for the most up-to-date information on facility closures, service changes, programming updates and safety measures.
