Helen Schuler Nature Centre
Escape to a pristine paradise in the heart of the city with a visit to the Helen Schuler Nature Centre. Tour Lethbridge’s only LEED-Gold certified facility to learn about its environmentally friendly features, including solar panels, low-flow water fixtures and two stunning living roofs. Discover state-of-the-art permanent displays showcasing the Lethbridge River Valley’s three unique eco-systems and check out what new feature exhibits are on. Be sure to say hello to the centre’s resident creatures: Gerry the Western toad and Taco-Charlie the tiger salamander. Afterwards, grab an interpretive map and head outside to explore the Nature Reserve Park’s looping trails that are popular with birders, naturalists and runners. You’ll find three species of cottonwoods, a plethora of wildlife and plenty of picture-perfect selfie spots Due to COVID-19, some services may be affected.
