Trochu and District Museum

Trochu and District Museum celebrates the history and culture of a small prairie town that was started by French cavalrymen led by Armand Trochu. An influx of British, Finnish, German and Chinese settlers added to this multicultural community. Exhibits also feature history of farming, coal mining, schools, St. Mary's hospital and convent, the world wars, sports, and a 2010 Vancouver Olympics podium. It also has an archives (history books, newspapers, school registers, etc.) to search your family roots and serves as a Visitor Information Centre. Murals and historical markers can be found around downtown Trochu and along walking paths.
