North-east of Calgary, Beiseker, named after Thomas L. Beisker, head of the first group of settlers in the area, offers a variety of services and attractions. A Visitor Information Centre welcomes and is home to Squirt the Skunk, village mascot. A 1910 CP Rail station provides an appropriate setting for Beiseker’s museum, library and village office.
