All is Calm: The Christmas Truce of 1914 at Rosebud Theatre
Rosebud Theatre presents "All is Calm: The Christmas Truce of 1914" from November 5 to December 23, 2020. The Western Front— Christmas, 1914. Out of the violence a silence, then a song. A German soldier steps into No Man’s Land singing “Stille Nacht,” beginning an extraordinary night of camaraderie, music, and peace. All is Calm relives an astounding moment in history when Allied and German soldiers emerged from their trenches and laid down their arms to celebrate Christmas together, sharing food and drink, playing soccer, and singing carols. A remarkable true story told in the words and songs of the men who lived it. By Peter Rothstein with musical arrangements by Erick Lichte & Timothy C. Takach. Tickets include a buffet meal before the show. Matinees are at 1:30pm on Wed, Th, Fri, Sat & Dec 22. Sunday matinees are at 2:00pm. Evening shows are at 8:00pm on Fri & Sat + Dec 22 & 23. Seating times for the meal begin 2.5 hours prior to showtime. Ticket prices range from $60 - $90. Group (20+) and Youth (4-20) pricing is available. There is a Preview performance on November 5 at 7:30pm. This is the last rehearsal before the show opens and there is an unlikely possibility that the show could be stopped.
