Archaeology Forum

The largest intact First Nations ceremonial site in North America extends for miles along the hills that rise above the Red Deer River near Empress. Professors Barney Reeves, Margaret Kennedy and Dr. Ernie Walker will be on hand at the restored CPR Station Museum on Railway Avenue to talk about the discoveries they made last year and the history of this prehistoric site. There's no charge for the event but it is sponsored by the Empress and District Historical Society and donations are very much appreciated. Lunch will be available for sale and then an escorted site visit may be possible if the weather cooperates.
